Reiki Drum
The Reiki Drum Technique is a fusion of Reiki healing and gentle shamanic medicine drumming. It originated in the U.S. where it’s known as Reiki Drumming™, and is still very new to the UK although I’m pleased to say that the technique is rapidly gaining in popularity! 
Drumming for healing is an ancient practice. In tribal cultures the healing power of sound on the body and spirit is well known, and now in the modern western world there is research supporting this – the science is catching up with what Shamans and tribal people have known intuitively for thousands of years. Research suggests that brain activity can actually be affected by drumming, and there are studies showing how the sounds of a drum can help with illness and emotional trauma, as well as dis-eases such as Alzheimer’s and Parkinson’s.
There are three different types of treatment to choose from as detailed below. Due to their more intense and intuitive nature, a Reiki Drum treatment is slightly shorter than a normal Reiki treatment.
Reiki Drum Treatment
The treatment involves me working intuitively with Reiki and gentle drumming over the body of the client, shifting blockages and rebalancing the energy field. After the drumming, the treatment is completed with some hands-on Reiki.
Reiki Drum Mental & Emotional Reprogramming
A drum healing session which engages the client on both a conscious and subconscious level, with the use of positive affirmation.
By focusing on negative beliefs, habits or continuing to harbor negative feelings from our past, we bring them into our present. At the beginning of each mental and emotional reprogramming session, the problem facing the client will be discussed, and a positive affirmation to create change will be written. This will be recited silently during the treatment, for a powerful healing experience on many different levels. The treatment is finished with some hands-on Reiki.
Reiki Drum Journey
A steady drum beat is used to facilitate an altered state of consciousness, allowing the client to mentally journey into another realm to seek guidance, insight or advice. During this journey, answers can be sought for any problem the client may be facing in their life. The drum carries the client to receive the wisdom of Spirit and the higher self.
